Tus golpes no muestran virilidad
solo resalta tu inseguridad

Even if they kill us:
We are here for the same reasons as you
You can not see it?
If this is also our home
Why do I have to protect myself?
Your hits do not show virility
Only highlight your insecurity
It was supposed to be a place
Where everyone could participate
But the reality is another
Why is my femininity threatening you?
My femininity threatens you
We are people who come to contribute
Our voice is rage and it will not stop
You will not tell us what a woman is like
We decide what we are going to do
We do not want to be a figure anymore
In the mortality statistics
How many more must we die
so that you understand the problem here?
It's not fair that you want to blame me
For your violence and what you do wrong
Remove that mask of kindness
When I say no, it’s a NO
Being a woman is to exist
Being a woman is sharing
Being a woman is resisting
Being a woman is fighting

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
